Som barn blev Emilie misbrugt seksuelt af sin stedfar, indtil hun som 12-årig meldte ham til politiet. Han blev dømt og fængslet, og selv tilbragte Emilie de næste fem år hos forskellige plejefamilier. Nu fylder hun 18 år, og tiden er kommet til at vende hjem og konfrontere sin mor med overgrebene efter mange års tavshed. Men sammen skal de også forberede sig på at fortælle Emilies halvsøskende, hvorfor deres far faktisk sidder i fængsel. ‘All That I Am’ er en gribende og inspirerende film om at overleve et overgreb, og om at finde modet til at skabe sig et liv på den anden side.

As a child, Norwegian Emilie was sexually abused by her stepfather until she reported him to the police as a 12-year-old. He was convicted and imprisoned, and Emilie spent the next five years at various foster families. Now, she is turning 18, and the time has come to return home and confront her mother with the abuse she suffered after many years of silence. But they must also prepare themselves to tell Emilie’s half-siblings why their father is actually in prison. ‘All That I Am’ is a moving and inspiring film about surviving abuse and about finding the courage to shape a life for oneself on the other side.
